Taking Charge is hot...fanning oneself hot. Colette gets a temp job at a company that has developed and is setting up testing for a new hearing assist device. Her plan is to find the list of test participants and put her deaf brother's name on it by doing whatever it takes. And she has caught the eye of Sebastian, one of the company's founders. Is it love, lust or play acting between them and can Colette accomplish her goal during her five days of employment without wrecking everything she touches? Serenity is an accomplished author who clearly knows how to set ones Ereader on fire and keep the reader hoping Colette succeeds. This engaging story is witty, steamy, not quite erotic, but close enough. I received an advance reader copy of this book. My review is voluntary. Highly recommend. Mr. Sinful. Faith's employer has told her to spice up her writing, but she is woefully inexperienced. After learning of her predicament, her brother's best friend, Rusty, agrees to be her tutor. Faith has come up with what she calls seven sins to be explored over seven weeks. Since she, Rusty and her brother have been a tight group since childhood she makes Rusty sign a confidentiality agreement. What could go wrong? Nothing, except that these two have secretly been attracted to each other since childhood even though Rusty swears he will never fail in love because of the alcoholism in his family. Their encounters are sweet, hot, and fun, and like potato chips, leaves them wanting more. This book leaves the reader wanting more Serenity! I liked that the story, while exceedingly seductive and sexy, was really about the progression of the characters' relationship. I reviewed this when it was titled Seven Sexy Sins. Seducing Summer is the first book in New Zealand author Serenity Woods' new Four Seasons series focusing on four friends whose names invoke the seasons of the year. This story focuses on Callie Summer. Callie's mother, Phoebe, is a prosecutor who put a high powered thief in prison. The man is out now and making serious threats against Phoebe and her daughter, Callie. Phoebe hires Gene Bond's security firm to protect her daughter. Gene presents himself as a candidate for the temporary position of personal assistant to Callie, who runs a lingerie company, since Phoebe is certain her daughter would never agree to being watched. He is there to protect her, not seduce her, but he begins to have difficulty reminding himself of that fact as they begin to spend their working days in close proximity. Callie seems to test his resolve to remain professional whenever she can! As the threats against Callie intensify so do the lustful thoughts and looks passing between them. Ms. Woods is a master at developing sexual tension between her characters. Will they or won't they? The dialog is sexy, flirty and so much fun to read. I received an advance reader copy of this compilation; my review is voluntary.
