As one of history’s greatest scientists, Nicola Tesla paved the way for a great number of principles but is perhaps best remembered for his pioneering work with electricity. His contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system are perhaps the most notable. This lecture delivered to the American Institute of Electrical Engineers in Columbia College, N.Y., on May 20, 1891, marks one of his most important public addresses.
