In the book, Zinoman chronciles the careers of the directors who revolutionized horror movies during the 1970's. Zinoman calls this movement "the New Horror."
Next, John Landis talks about his new book, Monsters in the Movies: 100 Years of Cinematic Nightmares. Landis is the director of such popular films as An American Werewolf in London, The Blues Brothers and National Lampoon's Animal House.
Then, Maggie Nelson talks to Steve Paulson about her new book, The Art of Cruelty: A Reckoning. In the book, Nelson explores the images of torture, horror and endless warfare that inhabit our political and entertainment landscape.
And finally, Eugene Thacker talks to Anne Strainchamps about his book, In the Dust of This Planet: Horror of Philosophy, Volume 1.
