First, yes there were English errors, but the story was good enough to ignore them. I hope to be able to read the rest of the series. Unless the mistakes mess up the story I ignore them. I’m not looking for Heinlein, Clarke, or Asimov level writing, I’m looking for a good story where the mistakes don’t make that big a difference. I’m looking for a story based on a Good idea, and written reasonably well. This qualified, and I’m looking forward to the next “installment”. Please keep writing. -JDF. P.S. • Good story, frustrating proofreading

The story is good, but my goodness this series is filled with typos and inconsistencies. For instance, how does a staff thrown at a squid atop a waterfall as she falls appear in the heroine’s hands in the next chapter? It is frustrating to muddle through them, and takes away from the books.

It was a great read-and I can’t wait to get the rest of the series.
  • Very poor editing and inconsistencies

I downloaded a sample of the first book in this series and it seems interesting so I bought the 3 book set. I'm midway into book 2 and have found well over 30 mistakes missing words and mixed sentences. The events throughout the book are bemoaning more and more simplistic and incomplete. Phrases are repeated over and over and the logic inconsistent. Very disappointing overall in my opinion.

This story is pitiful. The writing is rife with errors, omitted words, and character swaps where the author substitutes an antagonist's name for a protagonist's. Further, the author has either not hired an ancient weapons advisor, or has ignored the advice. A thrown sword flying end-over-end is not as reliably accurate as the author portrays, and this is seemingly a favorite method of demonstrating martial prowess. Character after character "saves the day" by throwing away their weapon. Your money can be spent in much better ways than by purchasing this drivel.
